RESH trains 130 in providing psychosocial support to community members
RESH has conducted a 3-day training in how to provide effective lay counseling and other psychosocial support--our first training, with many more attendees than anticipated! Approximately 130 people were given skills and information to help their community by effectively listening, counseling, and supporting those who have been affected by the trauma and grief of losing those they love to ebola and/or surviving ebola (and the stigma and ongoing trauma that results). This training will also give them the ability to support their community in the wake of other traumatic events in the future.
